Submit a team app for review

Learn how to submit a team app for review.

To make a team app available to members of your team, you must submit it for review. Once submitted, an owner or administrator of the team can review the app and choose whether to release or reject it. The criteria of this review is at the discretion of the team and the reviewer.

Canva is not involved in the reviewing of team apps.

To submit a team app for review:

  1. Navigate to an app via the Developer Portal.
  2. Click Submission.
  3. Agree to the Canva Developer Terms(opens in a new tab or window).
  4. Agree to the Canva Apps Terms(opens in a new tab or window).
  5. Click Submit app.

There are two possible outcomes of the review process:

  • Release
  • Rejection

If the app is released, it's immediately available to members of the team.

If the app is rejected, you must create a new version of the app, implement the reviewer's feedback, and re-submit the app for review.

Unlike public apps, there's no intermediate step of a team app being approved and then released. There's only the single step.
